Antibody Production from Hybridoma (Clones)

Davids produces and purify antibodies from your antibody producing hybridoma cell lines. You can either send your hybridoma clone to Davids for the production or use one, that was developed and stored by Davids with your antigen previously (Monoclonal Antibody Development).

MAb Production by Davids

For the production Davids uses exclusively spinner & roller flasks in inhouse developed bio reactors. The results are high pure antibody fractions with low endotoxin. We offer a wide range of production from 10 mg to 10000 mg. Just ask for your special offer for large scale productions. In table 1 you find some examples for the antibody production & purification services. In addition we offer the production in serum free medium and the production and purification of IgM or other antibodies, that do not bind to ProteinA material.

Antibody Production Schedule

Please keep in mind that the schedule and yield depends on the antibody producing clone. The estimated time is for clones with a yield of 10 mg/l. For Please ask for special prices for the production of larger or smaller scales. In addition ProteinA does not work with every clone. For these clones please have a look at our antibody purification services.

Is the Hybridoma really monoclonal (subclone)?

Ensure that the clone is subcloned. Clones that are not subcloned might not be monoclonal and thus loose production rate or activity over time. If you are not sure if the clone is truly monoclonal please use our subcloning service.

Purification of Supernatants

The purification (ProteinA or other materials) of your supernatants from your antibody producing clones is included in our production services. In some cases you need additional polishing steps to get rid of polymers or other disturbing substances. For this we offer our polishing purification that can be done after the ProteinA.
For IgM or antibodies that do not bind to ProteinA we offer our ProteinA Independent Purification. With this method IgM or small antibody pieces and more are purified.

Transient Transfection

The production of proteins and antibodies by transient transfection in suspension cultures of CHO cell cultures offers the advantage of correctly posttranslational modified proteins. Protein yields are 1 to 200 mg from 1 liter medium. You can send your transient transfection plasmid to us. We produce your protein. Alternatively you can send us your plasmid in small amounts (50 ng) and we produce your plasmid for the transient transfection.

Frozen cellsFreeze the cells with 5 - 10% DMSO or 5% glycerin. You may add 10 - 20% serum.
Cell culturesCentrifuge the cells in log-phase (max. 300 x g), discard the supernatant and resuspend the pellet in fresh medium. Close the lid and send it in the vial together with a non-frozen ice pack.
