Monoclonal Antibody Production
Hybridoma Production and Purification Service
Production and purification of antibodies from hybridoma cells (antibody generating clones) and cell culture supernatants. Please use Davids Monoclonal Development Service or give us your hybridoma or cell culture supernatants for the production and purification.
Antibody Production from Hybridoma
Davids produces and purifies antibodies from your hybridoma cell lines that generate antibodies. You can either send your hybridoma (clone) to Davids for production or utilize one that Davids already created for you previously (Monoclonal Antibody Development).
MAb Production by Davids
Davids exclusively utilizes spinner and roller flasks in in-house built bio reactors for production. The final product is high purity antibody fractions with minimal endotoxin levels. We have a large output range spanning from 10 mg to 10000 mg. Simply request your customized deal for large-scale projects. Table 1 illustrates some examples of antibody production and purification services. In addition, we offer the production in serum-free medium as well as the generation and purification of IgM or other antibodies that do not attach to ProteinA material.

Antibody Production Schedule
Please bear in mind that the schedule and yield are dependent on the clone generating the antibody. The time is calculated for clones with a yield of 10 mg/l. Please inquire about special pricing for bigger or smaller volume production. Furthermore, ProteinA does not operate with every clone. Please check our antibody purification services for these clones.
Is the Hybridoma really monoclonal (subclone)?
Verify that the clone has been subcloned. Clones that have not been subcloned may not be monoclonal and, as a result, lose production rate or activity over time. Please utilize our subcloning service if you are unsure whether the clone is genuinely monoclonal.
Purification of Supernatants
Our production services cover the purification with ProteinA or other materials of your supernatants from antibody generating clones. In special cases, further polishing processes are required to remove polymers or other undesirable compounds. We propose polishing steps after ProteinA as an answer for this.
We provide ProteinA independent purification for IgM subclasses or antibodies that do not bind to ProteinA. This approach is used to purify IgM or small antibody fragments, among other things.

Transient Transfection
Transient transfection of proteins and antibodies in suspension cultures of CHO cell cultures provides the benefit of appropriately posttranslationally modified proteins. Protein yields range from 1 to 200 mg per liter of medium. You are welcome to send us your transient transfection plasmid and we generate your protein. You may also send us your plasmid in modest amounts (50 ng) and we will make your plasmid for transient transfection.

Order Process & Clone Shipping
We keep the order process very simple. You can send us your clone or supernatant to:
Davids Biotechnologie GmbH
Roentgenstrasse 3
93055 Regensburg
Germany
We start with the production and purification as soon as your material arrives. Please add the following information to help us connect your order with the material:
- Type of antibody
- Species (mouse, rat, guineapig, ...), Subclass (IgG, IgM, ...)
- Is the antibody subcloned
- If known type of purification (ProteinA, ProteinG, Independent)
- Our Offer, our order form or your official PO
- VAT number (only EU customers, not required for German customers)
You have the choice to send us your clone or use one of your clones developed or stored at Davids. You can ship your clone according to the table:
Type | |
---|---|
Frozen cells | Freeze the cells with 5 - 10% DMSO or 5% glycerin. You may add 10 - 20% serum. |
Cell cultures | Centrifuge the cells in log-phase (max. 300 x g), discard the supernatant and resuspend the pellet in fresh medium. Close the lid and send it in the vial together with a non-frozen ice pack. |
